Our Aggregates:

3/4″ & 1-1/2″ Minus Gravel

¾“ minus gravel and 1 ½” minus gravel is crushed rock and fines. Our most popular is ¾“ minus which would give you crushed rock that is ¾“ and smaller mixed with fine gravel. The minus gravels are a non-decorative but very functional aggregate as they compact well and can be used as base under roads, driveways, paths, and RV pads or just about anywhere you need a firm structural base for a foundation.

Crushed Rock

Our crushed rock ranges in sizes from ½”, ¾“, 1½” and 3". The rock has been fractured or crushed meaning it has 1 or 2 flat sides, which makes it better for packing the rounded rock. Crushed rock is widely used in drainage applications such as foundations and French drains, septic drain fields, retaining wall drains, and road side edge drains. Crushed rock is also used as base material under foundations, roads, and railroads. Smaller sized crushed rock such as ½” and ¾“ can be used for decorative landscaping, ground cover and for driveways.

Round Rock

Our round or drain rock is a smooth round rock that usually comes in 1 ½” to 3” sizes. It has a variety of uses but it most commonly used for drainage applications. It is well suited for septic leach fields, backfill for retaining walls, wells, drainage blankets, ditch liners and Footing/Foundation Drain Applications.

Pea Rock

Pea gravel is a soft round rock usually 38 " to ½” inch big. Used for exposed aggregate and concrete Above-ground applications , landscaping, such as walkways( though it is loose so not the best choice ) and around stepping stones in walkways. It is also used as accent around garden beds, where in addition to looking good it aids in drainage. It can be used as a base for a patio, driveways and for drainage in flower beds and pots.

Pit Run

Pit-Run which is the raw gravel excavated from the pit, with no crushing or washing applied. It has rocks up to 6" but can have up to 12". It is mostly used for a base for roads and driveways.

Crusher Tailings

Crusher tailings is a small crushed rock with fine rock dust. The rock pieces are 3/8" and smaller. The mix of rock and dust means that when compacted, it binds together well and creates a stong stable surface to walk on. Because it compacts so well, it is an excellent choice for bike trails and pathways. It can also be used for your compacting jobs around the home such as: carparks, under slabs, filling trenches, under water tanks, etc.

Topsoil

Topsoil is removed from the surface of the earth. Topsoil has organic matter in it. Topsoil is used for starting a new lawn or garden or improving the soil in any given area. Worked into existing soil, screened topsoil improves its texture, friability and water-retention properties. New topsoil rich in vegetative matter should be worked into the existing base and not simply allowed to sit on top, as this delays the decomposition process that enriches old soil.

Clay

Clay is a heavy earthy material with semi-waterproof capabilities. Clay increases the soil structure, and helps to retain moisture. Clay is used for raising or achieving rough grades and ensuring positive drainage below final grade on residential and commercial properties. As well as for fill clay would be on projects where a highly cohesive soil is desired to limit penetration of water or to limit erosion in certain areas

Concrete Sand

Concrete Sand is a course sand that is washed and screened to a larger grit than Masonry Sand. Concrete sand is ideal for mixing with cement and aggregate to create concrete. It can also be used to bed pipes and septic systems, used as a base material between a vapor barrier and a concrete slab, for installing paving stones, traction sand for roads and sidewalks, and mixing with topsoil and mulch to create a top dressing material for planting lawns. Being similar to bedding sand it also works for filling and leveling.

Bedding Sand

A coarse, general purpose sand. The size comes in 7 ml and under. It drains easily and packs firm enough for comfort. Great as bedding for water pipe or irrigation lines in trenches, underneath water tanks and general pipe work.It can be used to create a level surface to serve as a base for projects or on top of a gravel base. It can also be used for cattle stalls and similar locations. The bedding sand drains easily, stays cool and as mentions packs good for comfort And. because it is low in organic materials, it does not provide an easy place for bacteria to grow.

Brick Sand

Brick Sand is fine in texture approximately 4 mm or less. Used for mortar, brick and stone work, works well in sandboxes and play areas, or as bedding base for above ground swimming pools and pond liners. Can also sweep between interlocking stones
